The CMT operator will also be required to fill in as a Yarn Prep Operator in winding as needed.\nEducational requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n\nSkills and experience:\nBasic mathematical concepts including fractions, decimals, and percentage preferred.\n\nMicrosoft Office Experience Preferred\n\nPrevious Textile Experience Preferred.\n\nGood communication skills, verbal and written.\n\nEssential duties:\nVerify cases assigned to order when delivered by material handlers\n\nEnsure correct yarn color using QA approved yarn master\n\nEnter order information into CMT system.\n\nContinuously prep yarn on winder creels to be processed\n\nCorrectly label each box of repack yarn by type, color number, and number of cones\n\nMaintain required production paperwork and data entry for MESr & AS/400 systems\n\nFollow proper procedures for rethreading machine to produce cones of consistent quality and reducing machine downtime.\n\nAudit loaded creels using creel thread up maps for accuracy\n\nRecycle all scraps and other recyclable materials and minimize waste.\n\nStage PC into and out of creel loading area\n\nDeposit all yarn scraps into specific containers to be recycled\n\nMaintain housekeeping\n\nComply with safety rules\n\nComply with environmental regulations\n\nBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS)\n\nEnsure ISO procedures are followed.\n\nUnderstand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nPhysical demands:\nLifting up to 50 lbs\n\nMust be able to lift 10 lbs overhead continuously.\n\nStanding throughout 8-12-hour shift\n\nWork environment:\nNon-climate-controlled manufacturing environment\n\nLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
