Building on more than 30 years of sustainability progress and industry-first innovation, we remain ‘all in’ on our goal of becoming carbon negative by 2040, without the use of offsets.\nElectrician 1 Kyle\nPosition summary:\nElectrician 1 is responsible for troubleshooting the electrical system, upgrading electrical devices, and equipment,\nas well as general plant facilities modernization.\nEducational requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nTechnical school certificate preferred.\n Skills and experience:\nExperience in electrical craft through secondary schooling or in an industrial environment troubleshooting electrical equipment.\nExperience with troubleshooting, commissioning, and decommissioning of equipment.\nBasic computer skills.\nWritten and verbal communication skills.\nMust possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history report.\nMeet license requirements for powered industrial equipment.\nAbility to work independently as well as collaborate and work with other co-workers at all levels. Essential duties:\nUnderstand, troubleshoot and problem solve issues of basic complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC’s, drives, motors, HVAC, power distribution).\nRepair and maintain electrical equipment.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment.\nTroubleshoot complex electrical systems with some electronics.\nEstimate, procure parts, modify, and install electrical equipment.\nUtilize electrical test equipment such as multimeter/amprobe/megger to analyze electrical equipment for malfunctions.\nUtilize electrical schematics or PLC Logics to interpret deficiencies.\nMinimize equipment downtime and maximize equipment productivity through efficiency.\nAssist or train other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment as needed.\nSupport all operations as needed. Communicate with appropriate management and maintenance/production associates of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.\nUtilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activities. This involves using the CMMS to complete, create, manage, and update work orders, and record relevant data about equipment and maintenance procedures.\nInspect and perform routine preventative maintenance as scheduled to ensure peak operating performance and equipment reliability to minimize any downtime related to equipment failure.\nBe familiar and aware of the maintenance role in emergency response situations that may require assistance to departments or shutting down various utilities.\nDrive company truck to various Interface locations as well as to supply companies.\nWhen doing any overhead work, take proper safety precautions to prevent falling objects from hitting personnel/machinery.\nMaintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with all applicable environmental regulations, procedures, rules, and regulations including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, OSHA regulations, Personal Protective Equipment, and general plant safety rules.\nBe aware of departmental Safety Data Sheets (SDS).\nBe familiar with Interface’s Environmental & Quality policy.\nComply with all departmental and plant wide ISO requirements for 9001 and 14001 and complete training as needed.\nAwareness of departmental KPIs and how your job contributes to the company goals.\nUnderstand and support Interface’s commitment to sustainability.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPhysical demands:\nLift up to 40 lbs.\nStand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time.\nClimb ladders and stairs.\n Work environment:\nNon-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.\nWork areas include, but not limited to, electrical panels, power distribution switchgear, breaker panels, etc.\nRequires the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), provided by the company.
