Will accept high school or G.E.D with relevant equivalent experience\n\nSkills and experience:\nAt least two years of manufacturing supervision experience.\n\nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal.\n\nExcellent and proven reasoning ability.\n\nGood mathematical skills.\n\nEssential duties:\nDirect resources to ensure adherence to production schedule while maintaining the lowest possible cost\n\nEnsure proper work methods are being used.\n\nEnsure that all activities are performed safely.\n\nEnsure adherence to all quality procedures\n\nAnalyze work orders to determine the need for supplies and sequence of operation.\n\nCoordinate flow of materials through manufacturing processes.\n\nEnsure proper training of workers in the operation and adjustment of machines and equipment.\n\nEnsure proper examination of yarn and carpet during processing to verify conformance to specifications and to prevent defects.\n\nAdjust resource utilization to meet production schedule\n\nEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and systems\n\nEnforce company, plant, and departmental safety regulations\n\nInterpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties\n\nRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product\n\nAnalyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems\n\nInitiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals\n\nRecommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.\n\nOversee training of new workers\n\nMaintain time and production records\n\nMay estimate, requisition, and inspect materials\n\nMay confer with other Supervisors of other departments to coordinate activities\n\nConduct performance appraisals\n\nInitiate the hiring process\n\nMaintain housekeeping\n\nComply with safety rules\n\nComply with environmental regulations\n\nBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nPhysical demands:\nLight physical work.\n\nConsiderable walking\n\nConsiderable standing\n\nWork environment:\nClimate-controlled manufacturing environment\nBachelor of ArtsLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
