The Area Manager operates across multiple builder communities and supports field management teams, builder communication, and jobsite performance.\nEssential Functions\nLevel I - Field Operations Oversight\nOversee installation activities and field operations across all assigned trades and product lines\n\nEnsure construction schedules are followed and milestones are met\n\nSupervise multiple builder communities\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for builder area managers and site leadership\n\nLevel II - Territory and Team Management\nIncludes all Level I responsibilities, plus:\nManage and lead a team of field managers across a defined territory\n\nProvide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to new and existing field managers\n\nExecute HR responsibilities, including performance feedback and coaching\n\nLevel III - Advanced Builder Relations and Problem Solving\nIncludes all Level II responsibilities, plus:\nMaintain strong daily communication with builders and customer representatives\n\nResolve jobsite production issues, delays, and schedule conflicts\n\nNavigate escalated issues in homeowner-occupied homes\n\nRepresent the company in problem-solving discussions with builders and site leadership\n\nSkills and Qualifications\nLevel I - Entry-Level Management\n2+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably flooring\n\nClean driving record and valid driver’s license\n\nProficiency in tablets, smartphones, and basic business software\n\nEffective communication skills with builders, crews, and internal teams\n\nBasic math and measurement skills, including square footage and linear calculations\n\nAbility to interpret builder plans, safety procedures, and operational instructions\n\nStrong decision-making, judgment, and adaptability in changing field conditions\n\nConflict resolution and customer service mindset\n\nMust be dependable, responsive, and team-oriented\n\nLevel II - Supervisory Experience\nIncludes all Level I qualifications, plus:\n2-4 years of leadership experience in construction or related field\n\nDemonstrated experience in managing multiple trades: tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, countertops\n\nStrong skills in identifying and solving field production challenges\n\nAbility to support and troubleshoot customer issues in both new and occupied homes\n\nLevel III -
