This role ensures that installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Installer is also accountable for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, using sound judgment on-site, and supporting the development of apprentice installers through training and mentorship.\nEssential Responsibilities\nInstallation & Quality Execution\nPerform accurate and detailed installation of flooring, cabinetry, and solid surface products in accordance with company standards and project specifications.\nReview and understand all job paperwork and installation instructions prior to beginning each project.\nUtilize proper tools and techniques to ensure precise measurements, alignments, and finishes.\nThoroughly assess and clean the work area upon job completion, inspecting for trade damage or defects before leaving the site.\nTeam Leadership & Training\nTrain, guide, and monitor apprentice installers, ensuring they understand and follow company installation standards, safety procedures, and quality expectations.\nPromote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the field installation team.\nProvide constructive feedback to apprentices and collaborate with leadership to address training needs.\nCommunication & Coordination\nMaintain regular communication with the Operations Manager and/or Scheduling Team to provide job status updates and report potential issues before, during, and after installations.\nCollaborate with other trades and internal departments to ensure seamless workflow and successful project execution.\nEscalate site challenges, material discrepancies, or customer concerns to management promptly.\nEquipment & Vehicle Maintenance\nMaintain responsibility for company installation tools and equipment, ensuring proper use, storage, and upkeep.\nInspect, clean, and maintain company vehicles used for transportation of materials or personnel, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are upheld.\nTime Management & Decision-Making\nUse effective time management skills to complete jobs efficiently and within designated timelines.\nExercise sound judgment and decision-making skills, evaluating costs and benefits of potential actions and consulting management when necessary.\nAssess personal and team performance regularly, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions when needed.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nAdhere to all safety standards and ensure work practices meet company and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in ongoing training and skill development programs as required.\nPerform other field duties as assigned by management.\nEducation & Experience\nRequired\nExperience in construction or installation, including flooring, cabinetry, and countertops.\nProven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.\nStrong understanding of installation techniques, materials, and tools relevant to flooring and surface products.\nExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.\nStrong oral and written communication abilities with attention to detail and professionalism.\nPreferred\nPrior experience mentoring or training apprentice installers.\nFamiliarity with installation scheduling systems or job tracking tools.\nSkills & Competencies\nTechnical Proficiency: Skilled in reading blueprints, layout plans, and installation documentation.\nLeadership: Ability to guide and support less experienced installers while maintaining project efficiency.\nSafety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining safe work practices and compliance with safety policies.\nCustomer Focus: Professional and courteous in all interactions with clients and team members.\nAdaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing priorities, schedules, and site conditions.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, sit, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods (8+ hours per day).\nMinor lifting and carrying of materials and tools as required.\nMust
