The Saw Operator supports production schedules while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.\nEssential Functions\nMachine Operation & Production\nOperate saw machinery to cut stone or other materials to precise measurements and specifications.\nSet up and adjust saw equipment based on job requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.\nMonitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality output.\nSupport daily production goals by completing assigned work in alignment with schedules and priorities.\nMaterial Inspection & Quality Control\nInspect slabs and materials for defects, inconsistencies, or damage prior to cutting.\nEnsure all cuts meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.\nApply knowledge of material characteristics to optimize cutting techniques and minimize waste.\nEquipment Maintenance & Safety\nPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment to ensure proper functionality.\nIdentify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly.\nFollow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.\nWorkflow & Team Support\nCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production continuity.\nAssist with material handling, staging, and preparation as needed.\nProvide guidance or support to less experienced operators when applicable.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support production operations.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.\n1+ years of experience operating saws or similar machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.\nExperience working with stone, countertops, or similar materials preferred.\nSkills & Competencies\nAbility to operate and maintain saw machinery and related fabrication equipment.\nStrong understanding of material properties and defect identification.\nSolid mechanical aptitude and basic equipment troubleshooting skills.\nHigh attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality standards.\nAbility to follow production schedules and meet output targets.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nAbility to learn and become cross-trained on multiple machines.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods (8+ hours).\nAbility to lift and move materials weighing 50+ lbs.\nAbility to
