Responsible for the entire life cycle of orders: placing, maintaining, documenting, changing, receiving, canceling, and following up on, while answering questions throughout the life cycle as to status. Product is managed on a Just-in-time basis while assuring that company metrics for Inventory Balance, Aged Inventory, Freight Expenditure and Stock availability are met or exceeded.\nEssential Functions\nInventory management and purchasing to drive industry-leading customer service and sales growth.\nManage $2m inventory to meet ILG strategies & sales objectives while maximizing performance on Availability, Freight Cost, Inventory Dollars, and Aged Dollars.\nPurchase & provide products to meet special order product and deadline requirements.\nConsistency of professional, high quality service that supports users’ needs for solutions, information and questions.\nWork collaboratively with other areas on process improvements and teamwork solutions. \nInitiate communication with branch operations and sales at multiple levels to manage, prevent, and eliminate aging and slow-moving merchandise.\nAll other job duties as assigned \nEducation & Experience\n2 years of experience in Purchasing or Inventory Management, inventory analysis, supply chain, purchasing, warehouse operations, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting/filtering, formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis, and formatting.\nExperience working with ERP, inventory management, or purchasing systems; SAP experience is a plus.\nAbility to analyze large amounts of data and identify discrepancies or trends.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with warehouse, purchasing, operations, vendors, and project teams.\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience in construction, building materials, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, or commercial interiors is preferred.\nSkills and Competencies\nDemonstrate good judgment in performing job duties while satisfying multiple conflicting priorities that are tied directly to key company metrics\nStrong sense of urgency -
