This includes preparation and maintenance of computerized manikins (software and hardware), task trainers, healthcare equipment, and related peripherals. In partnership with Simulation Caregivers, the Simulation Coordinator will manage simulation operations and facilities within the assigned geographic area. This position collaborates with leaders and interprofessional teams from across the enterprise to coordinate, align, and deliver simulation activities that support Intermountain Health’s Mission, Vision, and Values.Work Schedule\nFull-Time, 40 hours per week\nFlexible/variable scheduling within core business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.\nJob Essentials\nCoordinates simulation activities within the assigned geographical area including scheduling and LMS utilization\nAdministers approved system-wide simulation programs to meet outlined objectives.\nServes as a recognized expert for facilitators in team trainings to promote the Intermountain culture of extraordinary care\nCollaborates with simulation specialists to ensure accurate execution of scenarios, programming, and data collection\nCollects and inputs data to support process improvement, operations, strategy, cost reduction, and increased patient safety and satisfaction.\nWith direction from leadership, collaborate with facilitators to ensure maintenance of certification and reinstatement as necessary.\nGenerates reports for the assigned geographical area to ensure activities are meeting simulation KPIs (Key Process Indicators)\nManages inventory including organizing, tracking, and restocking consumables used in simulation.\nProvides oversight to scenario set up in coordination with content experts\nFacilitates simulation activities within scope\nAssists with the Intermountain Simulation Facilitator Course and workshops as needed.\nDevelops and maintains productive, supportive relationships with caregivers, philanthropic organizations, and community supporters.\nEffectively provisions, installs, programs, configures, operates, and maintains system hardware, software, and related infrastructure.\nProvides technical support for computer-based multimedia systems and their components, including operation of digital cameras, video cameras, audio/video mixer, digital/analog converter, monitors, LCD projectors, anesthesia machines, low and high-fidelity manikins/patient simulators, and other equipment.\nCollaborates with leadership to identify simulation technology needs for growth and sustainability within assigned geographical area.\nOrients staff, facilitators, and learners to safely utilize technology resources.\nTravels to support center-based and in-situ simulations throughout the Intermountain Network of Care. Works with leadership to maintain an inventory list of equipment sent for repair. Works with clinical engineering to ensure that equipment is repaired in a timely manner.\nCollaborates with customers to identity existing scenarios to support requested objectives, or connects them with a consultant for scenario development.\nMinimum Qualification:\nTwo years of experience in clinical or medical simulation environments.\nExperience working with and troubleshooting audio visual or clinical equipment.\nExperience working with basic computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues.\nAbility to learn new software and hardware quickly and independently.\nStrong communication skills.\nAbility to move, manipulate, place up to 50 lbs. \nPreferred Qualification:\nBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professional.\nCertification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (CHSE or CHSOS) \nLocation:\nEmployee Service Center, Intermountain Health Alta View Hospital, Intermountain Health Heber Valley Hospital, Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center, Intermountain Health LDS Hospital, Intermountain Health Park City HospitalWork City:\nSalt Lake CityWork State:\nUtahScheduled Weekly Hours:\n40The hourly range for this position is listed below.
