We are committed to building great brands that stand the test of time and to brewing the best beers using the finest natural ingredients.\n\nOur diverse portfolio of well over 400 beer brands includes global brands Budweiser, Corona and Stella Artois; multi-country brands Beck’s, Castle, Castle Lite, Hoegaarden, and Leffe; and local champions such as Aguila, Bud Light, Jupiler, Klinskoye, Modelo Especial, Quilmes, Skol, and Victoria.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Brewing Area Manager\n\nJob Requisition ID: 30104813\n\nLocation: Sagamu, Ogun\n\nJob Type: Full-time\n\nJob Summary\n\n The key purpose of this role is to lead and manage area teams to deliver sound operational and technical practices in the brewing department underpinned by prescribed VPO practices.\n\n The Brewing Area Manager is required to meet the required production plan, adhering to the principles of all VPO pillars.\n\n The role is required to maintain a high level of control against the budgeted KPI's as well as the variable and fixed costs controllable within the team.\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\nPromote Beer Brewing Quality Excellence in the Value Chain:\n\n Communicate brewing process and product quality information / standards\n\n Effectively communicate changes in the brewing process or standards\n\n Provide leadership to ensure commitment to product quality in the brewing department\n\n Apply brewing sub department quality systems in the workplace\n\nProvide Brewing Process Expertise (Technical depth) and Lead Problem Solving Processes:\n\n Assess brewing technical requirements and decisions where required\n\n Support implementation of recommendations\n\n Support implementation of process and product optimisation including CAPin and VA projects and trials\n\n Audit area standards (quality, process and work-practices) to ensure effective management of the area\n\n Support all 7 pillars standards in the workplace relating to VPO\n\nFacilitate Team Problem Solving and Decision Making:\n\n Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles\n\n Interacts with brewing management and operations teams to ensure appropriate people are involved in problem solving sessions\n\n Verifies that corrective action has been implemented and that the problem has been resolved\n\nManage Health, Safety & Risk:\n\n Manage occupational health, safety and risk for the area teams\n\nManage Productivity:\n\n Control fixed and variable costs\n\n Minimise waste\n\nManage the Brewing Process:\n\n Ensure conformance to brewing area production plans\n\n Ensure conformance to brewing area specifications and standards \n\n Ensure maintenance integrity in brewing area\n\n Ensure effective cost management on fixed and variable costs including byproduct\n\n Optimise process availability to achieve delivery and reliability targets\n\n Support engineering integrity\n\n Support production and process optimisation including trials, VA and CAPEX projects\n\n Ensure adherence to environmental standards by area teams\n\n Ensure adherence to quality standards by area teams\n\nSystem Expertise:\n\n Ensure adequate adherence and compliance to system processes as prescribed by MES, PTS, eQMS, PaQT and all other prescribed elements of technology for beer production through the brewing department\n\nManagement of People:\n\n Apply performance management principles for employees (production teams)\n\n Apply self performance management principles\n\n Develop employees for current role and future roles to ensure proper pipeline?\n\n Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate\n\n Manage and apply personnel practices\n\n Provide effective leadership\n\n Ensure employees are trained on technical and VPO standards\n\n Drive the high performance levels of autonomous teams without shift supervision\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\n BSc Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering\n\n Completed brewing traineeship\n\n IBD Papers 1,2&3 completed and passed\n\n At least 2 years production experience, of which 1 years’ operating at a management level within Brewing\n\n Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery (financial, operational, people) and brewing technical\n\n expertise\n\n A good performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion at maintaining quality\n\n Master Brewer IBD qualification obtained -
