Purpose of the Role\nTo render driving services to the site as needed.\n2. Key Responsibilities2.1. Collection and Delivery\nCollect goods, documents and people from set locations and make deliveries or take individuals to the designated locations by the correct time.\nEnsure the documentation associated with collections and deliveries has been correctly completed and submitted.\nPerform a thorough check of the vehicle prior to departure:Check fuel and oil levels in the vehicle before loading goods.\nInspect the vehicle to assure the working conditions of brakes, lights, wipers, windshield, fire extinguisher, flares and other safety equipment.\nEnsure the vehicle is clean at all times.\nComplete the trip log for each trip.\nLoad and unload goods and ensure the associated records are correct.\nFacilitate the overall maintenance and regular servicing of the vehicle.\nRecord all relevant information when re-fuelling the vehicle.\nEnsure that cargo is well secured.\nMaintain a log of activities, condition of the vehicle and any accidents.\nReport improper loading of cargo and any incident/accident while in transit.\n2.2. Safety, Health, Environment and Risk ComplianceInspect the freight and vehicle for compliance with all relevant regulations.\nObey all traffic laws and transportation procedures.\nInspect and maintain vehicle standards and report any mechanical problems or repairs needed.\nReport any accidents to the Camp Manager immediately or at least within 24 hours.\nEnsure compliance with the Company Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Code as it pertains to driving.\n2.3. Effective Teamwork and Self-ManagementTake ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.\nFollow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.\nInform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.\nManage colleagues’ expectations and communicate appropriately.\nDemonstrate willingness to help others and “go the extra mile” to meet team targets and objectives.\nKNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCEWhat skills, knowledge, and/or attributes are necessary to perform the role?\n1.
