The organized movement of persons in need of international\nmigration assistance is a primary mandate of the Organization and a cornerstone of IOM’s operations.\nMovement Operations Units in various IOM Country Offices, coordinated under the Resettlement\nand Movement Management (RMM) Unit in the Division of Movement, Resettlement and Labour\nPathways (MRLP) at IOM’s Headquarters, are responsible for all aspects of travel for migrants and\nrefugees under IOM’s auspices, in accordance with the various framework agreements with\nresettlement and receiving Governments and partners across the spectrum of the Organization's\nprogrammes. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Office, the Senior Movement Operations Associate, is responsible for supervising responsible for supervising movement operations activities in\nthe field, with the following duties and responsibilities.\n Actively participate in the day-to-day implementation of beneficiary-facing movement operations\nactivities, working alongside team members as operationally required. This includes directly\nsupporting field activities, coordinating services, assisting beneficiaries, resolving operational\nissues, and ensuring the timely and effective delivery of assigned tasks in accordance with\napplicable standard operating procedures and programme requirements.\n2. Supervise teams of staff undertaking beneficiary-facing activities under the Field Support and Data\nProcessing Pillar within IOM’s movement operations for various types of migrants and migration\npathways, across multiple countries in the assigned area in the country or across multiple\ncountries in the region, ensuring compliance with their respective standard operating procedures\nand programme requirements. This includes overseeing staff development processes such as\nhiring, providing training, assigning duties, and giving regular performance feedback to ensure highquality\nwork and accurate completion of activities.\n3. Oversee the field support activities relating to IOM’s movement operations in an assigned area\nor areas in the country or across multiple countries in the region, such as at an airport, seaport,\ntransit center, third-party facility, camp-based operations or sub-office to ensure beneficiary\nmovements are conducted safely and appropriately. If required, provide assistance for extended\nperiods and during overnight periods and weekends, ensuring the needs of individuals are met\nthroughout their stay.\n4. Oversee the coordination of transportation of beneficiaries to and from designated consolidation\npoints, locations, and facilities in the country or across multiple countries in the region, working\nwith relevant units and service providers to help ensure that vulnerable individuals are assisted in\na manner that ensures their safety, security and comfort. Coordinate liaison with service\nproviders, supervise staff as they ensure the identity verification, readiness and organization of\nindividuals being transported, and prepare and supervise relevant briefings.\n5. Oversee the timely and appropriate provision of food and other essential items to beneficiaries\nduring IOM movement operations. Lead the collaboration with the relevant IOM units and service\nproviders to ensure that assistance meets established standards of quality.\n6. Oversee the coordination of cases or indiviuals with with special needs or equipment receive\nappropriate support. In particular, monitor and ensure the staff members handle sensitive cases\nin accordance with IOM’s policies, and existing institutional guidance, including the assistance to\nunaccompanied and separated children and at-risk cases.\n7. Oversee the pre-departure formalities such as processing of travel documents and exit permits\nin close coordination with relevant external partner agencies, and authorities.\n8. Coordinate and/or provide selection mission support, and/or interpretation services for\nindividuals at airports, in transit centers, camps, consolidation points and third-party facilities or during transport by air, ground or water.\n9. Upon request from the government agencies, coordinate provision of the visa applicants with application assistance such as initiating contacts, scheduling appointments, capturing biometrics, filling the relevant forms, and collecting relating documents as needed.\n10. Under the guidance of the supervisor, liaise as needed with other teams and units in IOM Country Office and with external partners such as airport and government authorities, embassies, and the UN agencies. Provide regular feedback on work being accomplished to the supervisor and keep the supervisor informed of issues that arise.\n11. Coordinate with the administrative heads, relevant units, partners, and vendors when unexpected issues arise and work towards their resolutions, as needed.\n12. In close coordination with the direct supervisor, oversee beneficiary-facing activities in the assigned area ensuring programme integrity and local implementation of programmatic and organizational policies, requirements, and guidelines. As required, assist with relevant policy and operational input for programmatic reviews to safeguard programme implementation.\n13. As needed, and under the close supervision of the supervisor, assist with financial activities related to movement operations, such as petty cash payments and reports.\n14. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of relevant Movement Operations SOPs and Movements-related systems and databases, as well as the ability to remain professional, impartial and unbiased during all interactions with migrants and colleagues per the IOM Standard of Conduct and instruction on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).\n15. Undertake duty travel as needed to participate in meetings and trainings, and to carry out pre-departure assistance if needed.\n16. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of applicable SOPs, related systems and databases, and IOM Standards of Conduct. Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork in line with SOPs, Standards of Conduct and relevant data protection rules.\n17. Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards while carrying out all duties and responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to remain professional, impartial and unbiased during all interactions with migrants and colleagues per the IOM Standards of Conduct and instruction on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA). Alert the supervisor or management of any non-compliance to SOPs, RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards or IOM Standards of Conduct by IOM personnel or partners.\n18.
