When we say Infinite Possibilities, we mean it.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nElectronics\nHigh-voltage and power distribution\nAC motors and drives, DC motors and drives\nControl systems: DCS, PLC’s, PC’s and analytical equipment\nAbility to work in team environment\nInstalling wire and conduit for newly and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery.\nReplacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timer, scanners and photoelectric devices.\nAssist industrial mechanic as needed.\nQualifications:\nMinimum high school graduate or GED equivalent\nElectrical Journeyman must have 4 years of electrical apprenticeship or helper experience, or an Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance.\n\nElectrical Journeyman must have one of the following\n\nIndustrial Technology degree\n\nCertificate from accredited college or trade school\n\n(2) years Industrial maintenance experience\n\nWilling and capable of working all shifts\n\nIn addition, qualified candidates must be willing to meet the following requirements: Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment; Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment; Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule; Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification as needed; Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis; Wear required safety equipment; Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe hourly rate for a Journeyman Electrician is $39.53- $43.20.\nInternational Paper’s Newport Mill offers all employees a competitive benefits package, including health care insurance, life insurance, holiday pay and paid vacation.
