This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment while meeting established safety, quality, productivity, and waste standards.\nHourly Full-Time: 12-hour rotating shifts (every 13 weeks)\nShifts: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Sunday - Wednesday and Wednesday - Saturday)\nPhysical Location\nTucker Preprint\n5099 North Royal Atlanta Drive\nTucker, GA 30084\n770.493.0554\nPay Rate\nRange: $20.98 - $21.84 per hour\nThe Job You Will Perform\nSafely operate and monitor high-speed automated printing and production equipment, including Allstein press equipment.\n\nPerform machine setup, start-up, operation, changeovers, and shutdown activities in accordance with established procedures.\n\nMonitor machine performance and make appropriate operating adjustments to maintain production, quality, and efficiency standards.\n\nPerform routine quality checks throughout the production process to ensure finished product meets customer specifications and established quality requirements.\n\nMonitor print quality, registration, color, material condition, and other critical production specifications.\n\nIdentify defects, equipment abnormalities, and process issues and take appropriate action or escalate concerns when necessary.\n\nEnter and maintain accurate production, quality, downtime, waste, and process information in applicable systems.\n\nPerform operator-level preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting as required.\n\nAssist with identifying causes of equipment downtime and support maintenance personnel during troubleshooting.\n\nFollow all published Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using established housekeeping and 5S standards.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction, and equipment reliability.\n\nCommunicate equipment status, production issues, quality concerns, and other relevant information during shift handoffs.\n\nWork effectively as part of a production team and communicate appropriately with operators, maintenance, supervision, and other support functions.\n\nParticipate in required training and demonstrate the ability to learn computerized manufacturing and production systems.\n\nFollow all machine guarding, lockout/tagout, PPE, and other applicable safety requirements.\n\nStop work and immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns.\n\nAssisted lifting is required for objects weighing more than 50 pounds or for any object that cannot be safely or comfortably lifted by one person.\n\nThe Skills You Will Bring\nManufacturing or industrial production experience is preferred but not required.\n\nPrinting, flexographic printing, graphic arts, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus.\n\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and following established procedures.\n\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex automated production equipment.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail, including specifications, measurements, data tracking, and machine settings.\n\nStrong mathematical, mechanical, perceptual, and visualization skills.\n\nAbility to read and follow work instructions, production specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures.\n\nBasic computer skills and ability to learn computerized manufacturing systems.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.\n\nAbility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.\n\nThe Benefits You Will Enjoy\nPaid time off including vacation, sick time, and holidays.\n\nRetirement, pension, and 401(k) matching program.\n\nMedical and dental benefits.\n\nEducation and development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement.\n\nLife and disability insurance.\n\nThe Impact You Will Make\nAs a Machine Operator at Tucker Preprint, you will play a direct role in safely producing high-quality printed products for our customers.
