Description\nPurpose of the Role\nThe Teaching Assistant and Bus Attendant at Smart Vision School plays an important role in supporting students’ learning, wellbeing, and safety throughout the school day.\nDuring school hours, the Teaching Assistant works closely with teachers to support classroom learning, assist students with diverse needs, and help create a nurturing and inclusive environment.\nDuring transport times, the Bus Attendant ensures the safe supervision and wellbeing of students while travelling to and from school, maintaining a calm, organised, and supportive atmosphere.\nThis role supports the school’s commitment to student safety, inclusion, and high-quality learning experiences, aligned with KHDA regulations and safeguarding expectations.\nKey Responsibilities\nClassroom Support\nAssist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting classroom activities.\n\nProvide individual or small-group support to students who need additional help with learning.\n\nSupport Students of Determination, ELL learners, and students with diverse learning needs.\n\nHelp prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.\n\nEncourage students to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.\n\nSupervise students during class activities, break times, and school events when required.\n\nStudent Wellbeing and Behaviour\nPromote positive behaviour, respect, and inclusion in line with school policies.\n\nSupport students’ social and emotional wellbeing through encouragement and guidance.\n\nAssist teachers in maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment.\n\nReport any concerns regarding student welfare or safeguarding to the appropriate staff member.\n\nBus Supervision and Student Safety\nEnsure students board and exit the school bus safely.\n\nSupervise students during transport, ensuring appropriate behaviour and safety at all times.\n\nMaintain accurate bus attendance records.\n\nAssist younger students with seat belts and safe seating arrangements.\n\nCommunicate respectfully with drivers, school staff, and parents where necessary.\n\nReport any incidents or concerns during transport to the school administration.\n\nProfessional Responsibilities\nMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all interactions.\n\nFollow school policies relating to safeguarding, student welfare, and safety procedures.\n\nWork collaboratively with teachers, staff, and the operations team.\n\nAttend relevant training sessions and school meetings where required.\n\nSupport school events and activities when requested.\n\nSkills, Qualifications, and Experience\nEssential\nExperience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.\n\nPatient, caring, and supportive approach to working with students.\n\nUnderstanding of child safety and wellbeing responsibilities.\n\nDesirable\nPrevious experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or Bus Attendant.\n\nExperience supporting Students of
