This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Legal, Finance, and external vendors to ensure benefits offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s growth and acquisition strategy.\nThe ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced with multi-state benefits administration, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nBenefits Strategy & Administration\nOwn the end-to-end administration of employee benefits programs, including:\n- Medical, dental, vision\n- Life and disability insurance\n- FSA, HSA, and commuter benefits\n- Retirement plans (401(k))\n- Leave and wellness programs\n- Evaluate and recommend benefits enhancements based on employee needs, market trends, and cost analysis.\n- Manage annual open enrollment, including vendor coordination, system configuration, employee communications, and issue resolution.\nCompliance & Risk Management\n- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local benefits-related laws and regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state-specific leave requirements.\n- Partner with Legal and external consultants on audits, filings, reporting, and plan documentation.\n- Oversee vendor compliance and data accuracy across HRIS, benefits platforms, and payroll systems.\nVendor & Broker Management\n- Serve as primary point of contact for benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.\n- Lead renewals, RFPs, and contract negotiations.\n- Monitor vendor performance, service levels, and issue resolution.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n- Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate deductions, eligibility tracking, and reconciliation.\n- Support HR Operations and Recruiting with benefits education, onboarding, offboarding, and employee inquiries.\n- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-containment initiatives.\n- Support M&A activity by assisting with benefits due diligence, plan transitions, and employee communications.\nEmployee Experience & Communication\n- Develop clear, accessible benefits communications and resources for employees and managers.\n- Serve as a subject-matter expert for escalated benefits questions and complex cases.\n- Drive continuous improvement in benefits processes and employee understanding.\nQualifications:\nRequired\n- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.\n- 6+ years of progressive experience in HR benefits administration, preferably in a multi-state or national organization.\n- Strong working knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance and regulatory requirements.\n- Experience managing benefits vendors, brokers, and open enrollment processes.\n- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Finance.\nPreferred\n- Experience supporting a workforce across all 50 states.\n- Prior experience in a high-growth, acquisition-driven company.\n- Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.\n- Professional certification (CEBS, PHR, SPHR) a plus.\nKey Competencies\n- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\n- Clear, employee-friendly communication style\n- High degree of discretion and confidentiality\nAt Internet Brands, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. This role is budgeted at a competitive base salary starting at 95k, commensurate with experience.
