Click here for more information about Altour.\nResponsibilities\nJOB OVERVIEW\nThis strategic, high-impact role leads complex venue sourcing projects that deliver cost savings, align with client business objectives, and contribute to overall event success. The individual in this role sources hotels and venues, negotiates contracts, and tracks financial impact, ensuring alignment with client goals and budget requirements. This position collaborates closely with account managers, sales, finance, and meeting planners to ensure a seamless hand-off for execution. Success requires a combination of operational excellence and strategic thinking to drive client satisfaction, high-quality results, and strong financial performance for ALTOUR.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nLead venue sourcing for complex, high-value client meetings and events\nAct as a strategic advisor, aligning sourcing decisions with client objectives and business goals\nOwn end-to-end sourcing strategy:\nUse Cvent and other tools to manage RFPs and gather venue proposals\nConduct site inspections and negotiate contracts that align with ALTOUR and client interests\nOversee venue contracting and ensure smooth hand-off to Meeting Planner for execution\nMaintains and communicates accurate venue-related budget data to inform client decision-making and financial reporting.\nEnsure timely and accurate data entry in Cvent and other internal systems\nProvide financial inputs to support project close-out\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, Finance, and Event Technology teams to ensure alignment and seamless program execution\nStay current on sourcing trends and mentor others\nParticipate in supplier education (e.g., fam trips, seminars) to build destination and industry knowledge\nStay informed on ALTOUR supplier agreements and sourcing best practices\nMentor team members on venue sourcing and negotiations\nLead training initiatives to support team development as needed\nContribute to a strong internal team culture\nContribute to a positive and collaborative team culture by actively participating in internal meetings and modeling professional engagement.\nFoster a positive, collaborative team environment\nMotivate and influence peers to achieve business goals\nServe as a sourcing subject matter expert and informal mentor, leading skill-share sessions and supporting onboarding or upskilling of junior teammates.\nQualifications\nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation and Experience:\n7+ years related experience in the meeting and events industry with sourcing focus\n3-4 years planning high profile programs, preferably with sourcing focus\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience\nSkills and Competencies:\nStrategic Project Execution & Sourcing Expertise\nDeep understanding of meetings and incentive planning with a strong focus on venue sourcing\nAbility to align sourcing strategy with client business objectives, brand standards, and budget parameters\nProven ability to manage multiple, high-complexity projects with competing priorities and deadlines\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in budgets, proposals, and reporting\nComfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems under tight timelines\nClient Engagement & Interpersonal Skills\nSkilled at building trust with clients, including senior stakeholders and executive-level contacts\nExceptional negotiation and communication skills; able to balance client priorities with business needs\nCollaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment while also working independently\nPassion for mentorship and knowledge-sharing to support team development and performance growth\nTechnical Proficiency\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams\nProficient in Cvent for RFP management, proposal review, and contract negotiations\nPreferred: Experience using SmartSheet or similar tools for project tracking, reporting, and task management\nComfortable working in CRM, budget management, and sourcing intelligence platforms\nPAY AND BENEFITS\n25 days annual leave per calendar year which incrementally increases with length of service plus bank holidays \nStaff Discounts with Perkbox \nAVIVA Life Insurance \nEmployee Assistance Programmes/Well-being value added benefits for you and your family\nPrivate Medical Insurance \nPrivate Dental Health\nGroup Income Protection Cover\nGroup Pension Plan \nThis role is eligible for a discretionary 5% bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.\nInternova Travel Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
