The Jack-Up Rig Move Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing safe and efficient jack-up rig moves. The role provides technical expertise throughout all phases of rig relocation, including feasibility studies, route assessment, pre-load monitoring, jack-up and jack-down operations, towing activities, and post-move reporting. The position ensures compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company safety procedures.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and supervise jack-up rig move operations from planning through completion.\nDevelop rig move procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.\nConduct location assessments, environmental reviews, and seabed evaluations.\nReview geotechnical, bathymetric, and metocean data to determine site suitability.\nCoordinate with clients, vessel owners, marine warranty surveyors, and offshore personnel.\nProvide technical guidance during jack-up, transit, positioning, and jack-down activities.\nMonitor towing operations and ensure compliance with approved rig move procedures.\nAssess rig leg penetration, footing capacities, punch-through risks, and air gap requirements.\nParticipate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, and pre-job planning meetings.\nEnsure all operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and company management systems.\nMaintain accurate operational records and prepare detailed rig move reports.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses, and operational anomalies when required.\nMentor junior personnel and offshore teams on rig move planning and execution.\nRequirements\nEssential Qualifications\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Marine Operations, or a related discipline.\nRecognised offshore survival and medical certification.\nValid industry-standard offshore training certificates relevant to operating region.\nExperience\nMinimum 10 years' experience in offshore marine operations.\nSignificant experience planning and executing jack-up rig moves.\nProven experience working with independent-leg cantilever and slot jack-up rigs.\nExperience reviewing geotechnical and geophysical survey data.\nExperience coordinating with Marine Warranty Surveyors and regulatory bodies.\nFamiliarity with international offshore drilling operations.\nTechnical Knowledge\nJack-up rig stability and structural limitations.\nRig move analysis and feasibility studies.\nTowing operations and marine assurance processes.\nSeabed hazards and geotechnical interpretation.\nMarine navigation and positioning systems.\nOffshore safety management systems.\nRisk assessment and emergency response procedures.\nKey
