By 2030 we aim to be one of the world’s leading advisory firms with a truly global footprint.\nThe Modern Workspace Engineer (L3) will join our growing South Africa team and be responsible for supporting, engineering and continuously improving Interpath’s modern end-user computing environment. The role focuses on Microsoft 365, endpoint management and workplace technologies, acting as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues while driving improvements that enhance security, performance and the overall user experience.\nWith strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Windows operating systems and endpoint management, the successful candidate will focus on automation, standardisation and reducing recurring issues rather than purely reactive support. As part of a globally distributed IT function, the role also requires collaboration across regions and time zones to support both operational and project delivery.\n\nResponsibilities:\nProvide Level 3 support for complex endpoint, operating system and workplace technology issues.\nAct as a senior escalation point for Service Desk teams, owning incidents through to resolution and root cause analysis.\nAdminister and support Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online and related workplace technologies.\nManage and maintain endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and modern device management tools.\nOversee application deployment, endpoint configuration, patching and update management across the estate.\nImplement and maintain endpoint security controls, compliance policies and device performance improvements.\nDevelop automation and remediation solutions using PowerShell and other tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.\nContribute to IT projects, documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across the end-user computing environment.\nRequirements\nProven experience supporting and managing enterprise end-user computing (EUC) environments. \nStrong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration. \nGood understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD), identity and access management, conditional access and endpoint security. \nExperience managing Windows endpoints, mobile devices, device lifecycle management, patching and update compliance. \nStrong PowerShell scripting and automation skills to improve efficiency and standardise endpoint management. \nExperience troubleshooting complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and acting as a senior escalation point. \nKnowledge of ITIL-based service management processes and enterprise hardware environments. \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment. \n\nDesirable\nExperience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and other endpoint security tools. \nExposure to Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar technologies. \nExperience supporting globally distributed organisations. \nRelevant Microsoft Modern Workplace or endpoint management certifications.\nBenefits\nAt Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business.
