You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, corporate groups, companies in distress / insolvent private equity-backed companies, investment funds, financial institutions, asset managers, insurance businesses, institutional investors, and large multinational organisations.\nThis is a leadership role offering significant responsibility for client delivery, team development, revenue generation, and the strategic growth of the Tax Services practice.\nRequirements\nOur Tax Services team is looking for an experienced Financial Services Tax Director to lead and grow our UK Corporate Tax, Transaction Tax, and Financial Services Tax offering. The role will involve advising clients on complex tax matters, leading high-profile transaction engagements, developing long-term client relationships, and driving business development initiatives across the practice. The successful candidate will work closely with Managing Directors and senior stakeholders to support the continued growth of Interpath's Tax Services business:\nKey Accountabilities\nLeading complex UK corporate tax, transaction tax, restructuring tax and financial services tax engagements across a broad range of sectors and clients.\nAdvising financial services clients, including asset managers, investment funds, banks, lenders, insurers, and other regulated businesses on complex tax matters.\nActing as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, refinancing transactions, and strategic corporate matters.\nLeading tax due diligence and transaction structuring projects for corporate, private equity, and financial services clients.\nProviding technical and commercial advice on corporate reorganisations, group restructurings, carve-outs, cross-border transactions, and fund-related structures.\nWorking closely with restructuring, debt advisory, transaction services, and wider advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions.\nTaking overall responsibility for the successful delivery and commercial management of client engagements from scoping through to final deliverable.\nDeveloping and maintaining senior client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.\nLeading business development activities, including originating opportunities, preparing proposals, and converting prospects into clients.\nContributing to thought leadership initiatives and representing Interpath in the market through networking and industry events.\nBuilding, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative culture across the practice.\nYou will be expected to, where possible, use AI or data tools to improve the efficiency of research, drafting or review.\nRequirements\nThe role is suited to an experienced tax professional with a strong track record of delivering complex advisory work, developing client relationships, and contributing to business growth. Successful candidates will combine technical excellence with commercial acumen, leadership capability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.\nCTA and/or ACA qualified, or equivalent (including legally qualified candidates with relevant tax experience).\nExtensive UK Corporate Tax experience gained within a professional services, tax advisory, or accounting environment.\nSignificant Transaction Tax experience, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, SPA tax input acquisitions, disposals, corporate reorganisations and restructurings\nExperience advising financial services clients, including asset managers, investment funds, financial institutions , lenders, insurers, or other regulated businesses.\nProven experience managing complex advisory engagements and leading multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrable success in building and maintaining senior client relationships.\nStrong business development experience, including identifying opportunities, winning new work, and contributing to revenue growth.\nExcellent technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and the tax considerations relevant to financial services transactions, fund structures, investment management businesses, and regulated financial institutions.\nOutstanding interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong commercial awareness and the ability to provide pragmatic solutions to complex client issues.\nExperience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.\nEstablished network within the UK Financial Services and/or Private Equity market, with a demonstrable track record of originating and winning new advisory engagements.\nBenefits\nBenefits\nAt Interpath, our people are at the heart of our business.
