You will collaborate with the Engineer and COO to determine machine specifications, support equipment procurement, provide design input on the overall cell architecture, and startup and commission the system.\nYou will also have the opportunity to travel to field locations where the prototype will be set up for initial demonstrations. Along with the Lead ME, you will operate the system, proving out this unique capability for the very first time.\nThis will be a full-time, non-exempt position located at our Atlanta facility.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nParticipate in machine selection, startup, and qualification for CNC’s and other equipment that are part of the modular micro-factory.\n\nSupport Engineering with tooling selection and fixture design for machining operations as well as other post-machining operations.\n\nWrite machining programs or collaborate with programmers to develop and optimize programs.\n\nLearn the micro-factory robotics and automation system and become a qualified operator and trainer for the system.\n\nAssist in writing operating documentation.\n\nSupport system build, integration, and acceptance testing at the site of the system integrator.\n\nRun FAI’s on parts to validate the machining process.\n\nDeploy to field locations to run prototype demonstrations.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n\n10+ years of experience in CNC machining with both 3 and 5-axis milling experience.\n\nProficiency in shop math and blueprint reading\n\nExperience with first article setups and measurement of parts using metrology tools like calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and pin gages.\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude.\n\nWorking knowledge of GD&T.\n\nExperience designing tooling and fixtures in partnership with engineering.\n\nPrototyping and new product development experience, working closely with engineering and programming.\n\nAbility to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nStrong interpersonal skills including, but not limited to, contributing to a team-oriented environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities\n\nAbility to write basic machining programs/knowledge of G-code.\n\nLathe experience, particularly with live tooling and Y-axis motion.\n\nMachine startup and qualification experience.\n\nAbility to manually deburr parts.\n\nWorking knowledge of additive manufacturing and/or machining of additively manufactured parts.\n\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted\n\nMust be able to stand and kneel unassisted\n\nMust be able to do repetitive movement;
