Work is 100% remote. Some availability during business hours is needed to attend scheduled Zoom meetings.\nSMEs serve as advisors to Interplay and play a key part of our growth by helping us build industry-leading training content to advance the data center industry.\nAt this time, we are looking for subject matter experts with direct data center construction expertise in one or more of the following areas:\nElectrical\nInstall switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, power distribution units, busways, panels, grounding, lighting, and receptacles.\n\nNetwork and fiber \nInstall structured cabling, fiber-optic cable, telecommunications systems, access control, cameras, alarms, and building controls.\nTerminate, splice, test, label, and certify connections between equipment rooms, racks, and network infrastructure.\n\nRack Installation\nAssemble, position, anchor, bond, align, and label server racks, install rack accessories and prepare them for power, cabling, and IT equipment.\n\nHVAC\nInstall chillers, cooling towers, air-handling units, computer room air conditioners, pumps, piping, ventilation, and controls.\n\nPlumbing and Pipefitting\nInstall domestic water, drainage, fuel-gas piping, condenser-water piping, chilled-water piping, and equipment connections.\n\nYou will play a critical role on the Production Team, working with designers & developers to create and review content for skilled trades training.\nWhy this position:\nFlexible work hours, remote work\nUse your expertise to make an impact and provide education\nCollaborative, supportive team\nWhat you'll do:\nAdvise internal teams on industry dynamics and best practices\nUse your expertise to support content development for VR simulations and eLearning videos\nAdvise on construction and installation\nDevelop and assist in the creation of procedure guides\nWrite and record voiceover scripts and screencasts for videos \nGenerate valid and reliable test questions/knowledge checks\nDevelop fault scenarios\nReview courses for accuracy\nWho you are:\nExtensive knowledge of Data Center Construction\nTeaching or training experience is preferred\nOrganized and communicative with the team\nDesire and ability to collaborate with designers and developers and respond to queries and feedback within 1-2 business days\nRequirements:\nExtensive knowledge of subject matter\nSystematic approach to troubleshooting\nResearch skills\nTeaching, training or mentoring experience is ideal\nComputer skills - G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)\nCamtasia (video tutorial and presentation software), will teach\nWriting skills for knowledge checks and procedure guides\nAvailability during business hours to attend scheduled Zoom meetings\nWe may ask you to record a video intro for the hiring team if your application looks like a potential match.
