Your mission is to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and business performance.\nYour Impact\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. \nLead capital projects from concept to implementation, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. \nImprove manufacturing performance by identifying process optimization opportunities and eliminating bottlenecks. \nSupport operational excellence through data analysis, root cause problem solving, and standardization of best practices. \nStrengthen workplace safety by contributing to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and projects. \nLead OEE initiatives that improve equipment utilization and overall plant performance. \nDevelop employee capabilities through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing. \nCreate value by evaluating opportunities, recommending solutions, and supporting strategic decision-making. \nYour Main Responsibilities\nConduct root cause analyses of equipment failures, quality deviations, and process bottlenecks, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. \nLead Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) initiatives and drive measurable improvements across production processes. \nLead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from conception to completion, including scope definition, budgeting, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, and employee training. \nAnalyze manufacturing processes and performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational optimization. \nEvaluate technical and financial feasibility of improvement opportunities and equipment investments. \nUtilize AutoCAD to support plant layout design, workflow improvements, space optimization, and facility modifications. \nCollaborate closely with production, quality, and leadership teams to identify and execute improvement opportunities. \nTrain and support production personnel on new equipment, processes, and operating procedures. \nParticipate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives and support compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. \nConduct audits, prepare reports, facilitate meetings, and communicate project progress and recommendations to stakeholders. \nSupport sustainability, safety, and operational excellence initiatives across the facility. \nManage external vendors and contractors to ensure successful project execution and compliance with company requirements. \nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.\n5 to 10 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading or supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects.\nAbility to travel within Canada and the United States,\nExperience managing or participating in CAPEX projects is considered an asset.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and production systems.\nExperience with AutoCAD.\nStrong computer, data analysis, and reporting skills.\nKnowledge of manufacturing safety principles, environmental requirements, and regulatory compliance.\nFamiliarity with OEE methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles is an asset.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.\nResourceful and proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership.\nAbility to carry projects through to completion while meeting established deadlines with limited supervision.\n At Intersand, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work.
