You will own projects throughout their full lifecycle-from early-stage strategy through construction handover-by framing key tradeoffs, managing project economics, and negotiating critical commercial agreements. Partnering closely with internal SMEs and external stakeholders, you'll solve complex development challenges to deliver de-risked, high-impact assets that generate long-run value.\nTeam overview\nThis team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect's mission to accelerate the clean energy transition. The Development team acts as the central engine for growth, identifying high-value regional opportunities and transforming land, load demand, and market signals into fully operational, utility-scale power infrastructure. Joining this team means taking end-to-end ownership of complex energy assets while collaborating with industry experts in an agile, high-trust environment.\nWhat you'll do\nDrive End-to-End Project Development Strategy\nLead utility-scale wind, solar, storage, natural gas, and load projects through every stage of development, from initial market entry and strategy to construction handover.\n\nEvaluate site-specific development risks and opportunities, framing commercial tradeoffs for senior leadership and investment committees.\n\nLead Commercial Execution and Financial Modeling\nOwn comprehensive financial and valuation models in Excel to evaluate project economics, interconnection cost profiles, and M&A transaction structures.\n\nProvide commercial guidance across all project workstreams, leading negotiations for key commercial terms and contracts with utilities, offtakers, and external stakeholders.\n\nSteer Cross-Functional Delivery and Governance\nCoordinate multidisciplinary SME teams-including engineering, permitting, origination, finance, and external consultants-to keep complex development pipelines on schedule.\n\nManage day-to-day project budgets, development schedules, and tracking tools to ensure strict operational discipline and project momentum.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\n5-10 years of hands-on experience in power project development and/or power project M&A within the clean energy or broader utility-scale power sector.\n\nDemonstrated expertise managing project financial models, structuring commercial deals, and evaluating complex energy market dynamics.\n\nDeep understanding of ISO/RTO interconnection processes, environmental permitting gates, land control structures, and power purchase agreements (PPAs).\n\nProven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through critical development milestones and
