The Engineering team ensures that our large-scale power infrastructure operates with maximum reliability, safety, and compliance across its entire lifecycle. excellence and long-run value.\nWhat you'll do\nOversee SCADA and Automation System Commissioning\nConduct comprehensive physical inspections of SCADA nodes, RTUs, PLCs, network switches, and field instrumentation to verify installation quality and strict adherence to engineering designs.\n\nReview and validate EPC-provided commissioning reports, pre-functional checklists, and point-to-point telemetry documentation to certify operational readiness and flag deficiencies.\n\nProvide On-Site Technical Expertise and Protocol Diagnostics\nServe as the primary technical authority for EPCs and field technicians on SEL protective relay logic, SEL-RTAC configurations, and substation communication architectures.\n\nPerform in-depth network packet inspection using Wireshark to diagnose protocol-level anomalies across Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850 networks under live operating conditions.\n\nDrive Cross-Functional Field Coordination\nRepresent centralized engineering in daily on-site coordination meetings with EPC contractors, commissioning agents, and transmission system operators to align on schedules and critical milestones.\n\nMaintain proactive, transparent communication channels with centralized engineering, delivering timely site context to accelerate decision-making and resolve technical escalations.\n\nStandardize Fleet Documentation and Asset Excellence\nTrack open punch-list items, commissioning deviations, and site revisions in Jira to establish rigorous as-built documentation.\n\nFeed real-world field observations back into centralized design standards, continuously refining commissioning test procedures and technical specifications across Intersect's fleet.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).\n\n3+ years of hands-on field engineering experience in utility-scale clean energy facilities, power generation plants, or high-voltage substation environments.\n\nDemonstrated expertise configuring and commissioning SEL protective relays and SEL-RTACs using SEL Quickset and SEL Acselerator.\n\nProven proficiency in industrial network troubleshooting and packet analysis using Wireshark across DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 61850 protocols.\n\nHands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting HMI screens and data visualizations within Ignition Perspective.\n\nFamiliarity with NERC CIP compliance frameworks, grid telemetry standards, and utilizing Jira for issue tracking and resolution.\n\nDemonstrated ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites, maintaining safety-first discipline, composure, and resourcefulness in remote field environments.\n\nCollaborative mindset with
