Join us!\nPurpose of Job:\nThe Dispatcher handles all incoming phone calls and dispatches hot-shot requests in a timely and orderly fashion in order to best meet the needs of our dealers in most efficient manner possible, while also assisting in warehouse and with office duties as needed. \nJob Components:\nHandle all incoming phone calls in a professional manner \nManage hot-shot drivers in a manner that will deliver the best and most efficient hot-shot service possible. \nWait on and assist all walk-in customers by providing each customer with courteous service and information to satisfy their battery need(s). \nHandle and balance invoices generated \nFollow-up with largest customers weekly to ensure customer satisfaction and battery supply is adequate. \nAssist with warehouse and office duties as needed \nOther duties as assigned \nQualifications:\nProficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel. \nGood knowledge of the geographical area \nStrong communication and customer service skills \nAbility to multi-task \nPrevious experience in telephone and dispatch operations preferred \nMust work effectively in a team environment \nScope Data:\nWorks under general supervision \nAccountable for individual accuracy\nShared responsibility for outgoing inventory \nOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude\n Work Environment:\nOffice environment but is also exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. \nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. \nRegularly required to stand, walk, hear, talk, and use hands to grasp and handle objects. \nAbility to sustain extended periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking throughout the day \nProlonged use of personal computer and telephone \nUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required \nBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs \nNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.\nInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
