Join us!\nPurpose of Job:\nThe Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested. They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.\nJob Components:\nRun the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed\n\nLoad and unload batteries\n\nGeneral warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers\n\nDeliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner\n\nFollow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies\n\nEnsure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation\n\nAccurately complete reports and claims\n\nInteract professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers\n\nFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nAbility to read, write, and do basic math\n\nWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required\n\nWorking knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).\n\nMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements\n\nAbility to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift\n\nScope Data:\nWorks under general supervision and guidance\n\nAccountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.\n\nOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude\n\nWork Environment:\nRegularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.\n\nRepetitive lifting.\n\nConsistent sitting, standing and walking\n\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\n\nBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs\n\nExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle\n\nExposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals\n\nUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required\n\nNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.\nInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
