Join us!\nPurpose of Job:\nThe Pre Sell Delivery Driver will be responsible for promoting Interstate’s line of products by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of batteries and related materials to dealers.\nJob Components:\nMeet or exceed sales and service metrics as defined by the manager.\n\nEnsure accurate, timely delivery of new batteries, merchandising fixtures, and all other battery related products.\n\nCommunicate effectively, both written and verbal, with Pre Sell Manager, including but not limited to text messages, email, and phone calls.\n\nAccountable for executing consignment changes, securing recyclable batteries, completing warranty claims, performing battery rotations, collecting cash, and invoicing.\n\nMaintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping the dealer list up to date.\n\nMaintain dealer relationships.\n\nInteract professionally with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, and customers.\n\nFollow/fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\nTwo years of relevant customer service experience.\n\nDirect Store Delivery (DSD) experience, preferred.\n\nHigh school graduate (or equivalent).\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships and provide reliable support.\n\nStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route coverage under moderate supervision.\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.\n\nWorking knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).\n\nMust have and maintain a valid DOT medical card, a state Driver's License (CDL may be required), and an acceptable driving record required.\n\nScope Data:\nWork with customers and dealers on a regular basis.\n\nModel Interstate’s Purpose and Values.\n\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license.\n\nWork Environment:\nBe able to regularly lift and/or move 75 lbs.\n\nExposed to battery warehouse conditions such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, electricity, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.\n\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\n\nRegularly required to stand, walk, hear, talk, and use hands to grasp and handle objects.\n\nRepetitive lifting.\n\nFrequent sitting, standing, and walking.\n\nUse of PPE required (steel toe boots, safety glasses, protective gloves, etc).\n\nNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.\nInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
