Join us!\nPurpose of Job:\nThe Manager, Warehouse is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 2-3 Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling bi products and Econos and processing cores.\nJob Components :\nMust be able to perform all warehouse jobs including : Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and Shipping\n\nDirects Warehouse Workers\n\nParticipates and engages team in the practice of continuous process improvement\n\nResponsible for implementation of applicable standard operating procedures and accountable for ensuring performance standards are met/exceeded\n\nManages inventory quality, accuracy and asset protection\n\nDevelops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize work flow, space utilization, and labor productivity\n\nEnsures that operations warehouse processes are conducted safely and within the law and applicable compliance standards\n\nProcess inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments\n\nPrepares and distributes operational reports\n\nOperates forklift and trains Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use of same\n\nFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager\n\nQualifications:\nMinimum 1 year warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships\n\n3 years of general warehouse operations experience.\n\nSuperior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skills\n\nStrong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure\n\nWorking knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods\n\nUnderstanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations\n\nWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required\n\nStrong training and coaching skills\n\nHave keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements\n\nAbility to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift\n\nMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements\n\nScope Data:\nManages two or more team members\n\nOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude\n\n Work Environment:\nRegularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk\n\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\n\nBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs\n\nExposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals\n\nExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle\n\nUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.\n\nNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.\nInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
