Join us!\nPurpose of Job:\nThe Warehouse Team Member II provides a well -stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. Must be able to deliver batteries on a regular basis.\nJob Components:\nLoad and unload batteries \nRestock batteries \nCharge, clean, date and rewrap rotations \nCharge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries \nMaintain a safe and clean warehouse environment \nAccurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims \nOperate a forklift and motor vehicle \nRun the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed \nFill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed \nCollect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders \nCollect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse. \nFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager. \nOther duties as requested \nQualifications:\nMinimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred. \nWritten, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills\nStrong time management skills and able to work under pressure\nKnowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods\nKnowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations\nWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required\nUnderstanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements\nAbility to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift\nMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements \nScope Data:\nFrequent independent judgment and decision making\nBackup driver\nOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude\nWork Environment:\nRegularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus\nBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs \nExposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals\nExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle\nUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required\nNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.\nInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
