We are looking for a Data Center Field Coordinator to support the commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of mission-critical data center control systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in the field, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with customers and contractors to keep operations running smoothly.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Data Center Field Coordinator is responsible for the commissioning and startup of Data Center control systems. This includes programming modifications, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and support of technically oriented automated control systems. This position works closely with project teams, customers, contractors, and vendors throughout the commissioning and startup process.\nThis role requires a self-driven individual who can perform key job functions independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the project team.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain productive relationships with data center customers, contractors, and vendors\nCollaborate with project teams to ensure systems and equipment are installed accurately\nParticipate in commissioning and startup planning meetings\nProgram, implement, test, and document control systems\nCommission and startup control systems with limited supervision\nTroubleshoot PLC, network hardware, and software systems\nPerform root cause analysis of equipment failures\nCapture operational readings and equipment performance data\nProvide project status updates throughout commissioning activities\nSupport ongoing data center service and operational needs\nAssist with setup and management of control networks\nDocument commissioning and troubleshooting findings\nMaintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information\nParticipate in after-hours support as needed\nFollow and promote Interstates’ safety culture\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh School diploma or GED required\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies, Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, or a related field preferred\nExperience with industrial control systems preferred\nExperience working directly with customers regarding system requirements and troubleshooting\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nExperience with PLCs, networking, and automated control systems preferred\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced field environment\nTravel Requirements:\nCandidates should live within approximately 1.5 hours of the regional Data Center\nTravel to regional Data Centers is required for commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting support\nTravel may exceed 50% depending on business needs and can include extended or overnight shifts\nOccasional travel outside the region and training in Sioux Center, IAor other Interstates locations may be required\nCompensation: \nThe pay range for this position is $68,000 to $77,000+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
