Interstates is currently seeking motivated student individuals to join our program as Production Tech Apprentices. This role will provide direct support to our Sioux Center manufacturing operations.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities: \nDisplays a positive and enthusiastic attitude \nTakes the initiative to learn systems and processes \nTakes a proactive approach to problem solving \nAssembling pre-fabricated electrical construction material \nAssembling and pre-wiring light fixtures, receptacles, and switches \nBending and threading conduit \nFabricates support structures by cutting, bending, and welding components \nOther duties may be assigned \nMinimum Qualifications: \nMust be High School JuniorThe IMT Apprenticeship requires 18 months for completion.\n\nMust be a minimum 16 years of age to be eligible\nStudents should confirm with high school counselor that their program supports participation in a registered apprenticeship.\nMust be willing to provide a transcript or proof of enrollment if requested.\nWork Schedule:\nAble to commit ~10-20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer\nExpected to stay in the program for approximately 18 months\nWilling to participate in required apprenticeship coursework (safety, math, tools, workplace skills) \nPreferred Skills/Experience: \nWillingness to learn technical skills\nReliability and attendance\nMechanical aptitude or interest\nTeamwork\nInterest in hands-on manufacturing, electrical, or construction work\nAbility to follow safety rules and work in a production environment\nReliable transportation to the Sioux Center facility\nAbility to meet physical requirements (lifting, standing, etc.)\nLocation & Travel: Applicants must be local to the area and willing to commute to the worksite.\nWhat You Should Know Before You Apply\nInterstates may collect personal information as part of your job application, such as your contact details, work history, education, and any information you provide.
