If you want to grow and do meaningful work, you’ll feel at home here. \nInterstates is seeking a PM Technical Trainer to develop and deliver technical training that supports the growth and development of our Project Management teams. This role will be dedicated to the PM Home Base and will help create a consistent, scalable training approach that accelerates onboarding, strengthens technical capabilities, and improves adoption of key project management systems and processes.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys teaching, developing others, and translating technical processes into practical, easy-to-understand training.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and deliver technical training for Project Management teams\nFocus training on WBS, Intertrak, ASTA, Estimating, O3, AWP, and Spectrum\nProvide training and development support primarily to APM 1 and APM 2 employees\nDevelop training materials, resources, and learning activities\nPartner with PM leadership and subject matter experts to identify training needs and opportunities\nDeliver engaging, practical, and consistent training across teams and locations\nEvaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement\nSupport onboarding and ongoing development of Project Management employees\nMaintain current knowledge of PM systems, processes, and best practices\nTravel to Interstates locations and teams to support training needs\nPreferred Skills\nStrong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills\nAbility to explain technical concepts and processes clearly\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nAbility to build relationships and work effectively with employees at varying experience levels\nComfortable working independently while collaborating with leadership and subject matter experts\nExperience developing training materials or facilitating learning preferred\nProject Management experience or familiarity with PM processes and systems preferred\nKnowledge & Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience\nStrong technical aptitude and ability to learn and teach business systems and processes\nExperience in Project Management, construction, engineering, or a related industry preferred\nExperience with WBS, Intertrak, ASTA, Estimating, O3, AWP, or Spectrum preferred\nPrevious training or instructional experience is preferred but not required\nLocation\nThis position is based in Sioux Falls, SD; Sioux Center, IA; or Omaha, NE, with the preferred location determined by business needs.
