You will work closely with mechanical and embedded software engineers to create reliable, high-performance electronics supporting automation, control, and monitoring of our biospheric systems. Some projects will involve space-rated hardware, requiring a strong balance between creativity, precision, and compliance with aerospace standards.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and layout electronic schematics and PCBs (KiCad or Altium)\nSelect components, define stackups, and ensure manufacturability and serviceability\nLead mechanical and electrical integration with product and systems teams\nCollaborate with suppliers for PCB fabrication, assembly, and production follow-up\nPlan and implement EMC mitigation and reliability strategies (ESD, surge, derating)\nConduct board bring-up, debugging, and validation testing using standard lab tools\nCreate test plans, validation documentation, and track issue resolution\nSupport development of embedded test firmware in collaboration with software teams\nProfile / Qualifications\n6+ years of experience in electronic design for industrial, aerospace, or consumer products\nProficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, and DFM/DFT principles\nExperience with EMC/EMI mitigation and validation testing\nFamiliarity with microcontrollers (STM32 or similar) and communication buses (RS-485, I2C, SPI)\nExperience managing EMS/SMT suppliers and prototype production\nExposure to SSP 57000 requirements or similar aerospace standards is a plus\nStrong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills\nFluent in English, French is a plus\nEqual Opportunity\nInterstellar Lab is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
