Intertek’s Building Science Solutions (BSS) group is primarily focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Building Enclosure Senior Project Manager has full responsibilities of the project including management of project teams, mentoring of staff, building client relationships and pursuing project work, and review of client deliverables, including technical content. This position will travel as business needs indicate, up to 25% of the time will be outside the local area.\nShift/Schedule: Monday - Friday core business hours (may vary slightly)\nWhat you’ll do:\nProvide building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and design and construction administrative services for new building projects.\nProvide building enclosure investigations and assessments for existing building, and provide remedial repair designs and construction administrative services when requested.\nPrepare proposals for potential new work.\nAssisting in meeting profit center financial goals.\nPrepare professionally written deliverables, including proposals, technical report, design reviews, etc.\nProvide on-the-job training and mentoring \nAssist in hiring and training new building sciences team members, and mentor existing team members.\nAssist the department manager with developing business and clients in the local area and assisting with national, larger pursuits outside of the local area.\nGrow the local BSS office by balancing staff workloads and bringing in new work such that staff are adequately utilized\nParticipation in professional organizations, author papers, attend conferences, and/or perform work on technical committees\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 7+ years’ experience in Building Enclosure consulting / industry\nOR\nWe will also consider 10+ years’ experience in Building Enclosure consulting / industry in lieu of the bachelor’s degree\nTechnical understanding of building enclosure systems and construction\nExperience in managing a range of small to large projects\nBuilding Enclosure Project management experience\nAbility to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, roofs, etc.\nExcellent organizational and project management skills\nStrong technical writing and communication skills\nConsistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team\nAbility to travel up to 25% outside local area, depending on local work load and project locations\nMust have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nBuilding enclosure commissioning experience and proficiency\nProfessional registration or ability to obtain registration within one year (e.g. AIA, NCARB, SE, PE)\nField and technical experience with diverse building types and enclosure systems\nAdditional registration or certification, or the ability to obtain such within one year (e.g., CBECxP, CxA+BE, BECxP, REWC, RRC, etc.)\nProficient and knowledge in computer modeling such as THERM, WUFI, EnergyPlus, COMcheck, and/or other similar tools \nBuilding enclosure testing including functional performance testing and investigative testing\nProperty / façade condition assessments\nMicrosoft Office Suite and Bluebeam\nAutoCAD/Revit/BIM/Sketch-up proficiency\nSafety Training/Scaffold
