Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis to provide you with Total Quality Assurance.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe ideal candidate with be certified by the American Welding Society as meeting the qualification requirements of sections 5.2, 6.1, and 6.2 of AWS B5.1, Specification for the Qualification of Welding Inspectors. API certs a plus.\nSalary & Benefits Information\n Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPerform CWI visual inspections and various non-destructive examinations at a client facility or fab shop under the direction of a Project Manager, Team Leader, or independently\nPrepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner\nInterface with the client on technical matters involving Certified Welding Inspection procedures and capabilities\nProvide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers\nStay abreast of any new developments in Certified Welding Inspection and technologies that may be applicable in our business\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties. \nWhat is takes to be successful in this role:\nMust have minimum of 5-7 years of inspection experience.\nMust be capable of determining if a weldment meets the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard, or other requirement.\nCurrent TWIC Card (required)\nValid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)\nMust be able to apply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards/specifications/procedures on the provided job scopes and evaluate test results\nMaintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors\nAbility to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors (preferred)\nAbility to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing.\nAbility to solve technical issues in the field.\nFollow technology advancements in CWI (preferred)\nIntertek: Total Quality.
