This includes method development and method validation studies.\nMaintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including spectroscopy systems.\nUse data systems to collect and process data.\nAuthor reports for routine analyses independently and contribute to reports for complex studies with supervision\nFollow current procedures and regulations as directed by senior staff and management\nWrite procedures, observations and results in notebooks\nPrepare standards and solutions, and samples using a variety of techniques\nMeasure, collect and record test data in accordance with written procedures\nPerform basic calculations \nPerform tasks essential for laboratory maintenance, operation and quality assurance \nEffectively collaborate with colleagues on laboratory techniques, sample preparation, instrumentation, data analysis, documentation, and safety\nEnsure compliance of company/client SOP, protocols, safety policies, methods, or other procedures with government rules and regulations\nUse computer systems and software programs - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), data acquisition programs - to acquire and document results\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nBA/BS Chemistry, Biology or related scientific degree \nKnowledge of analytical chemistry for inorganic analysis\n3 years of related industry experience in an analytical laboratory with hands-on experience with ICP-OES and ICP-MS instrumentation.\nKnowledge of laboratory safety precautions and protocols for safe handling and the disposal of hazardous agents/reagents, chemicals and materials\nOrganization, communication and analytical skills\nAbility to understand and effectively communicate technical and business information, both oral and written to others, including co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, clients, and vendors\nIntermediate mathematical skills, including: algebraic functions, statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, variance, probability), basic geometry (area, volume calculations), and scientific calculators\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions\nAbility to work varied and extended hours/days, as business dictates\nRegularly lift/carry/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/carry/move up to 50 pounds\nClimb stairs \nLaboratory bench work may require standing for extended periods of time\nPreferred Requirements & Qualification:\nHands-on work experience with Microwave, open vessel reflux and heat block digestions.\nHands-on work experience with software programs Masshunter and Qterga.\nHands-on work experience following USP , and ICH Q3D R2.\nCompendial testing following USP, EP or JP.\nIntertek: Total Quality.
