Our Purpose: Bringing quality, safety, and sustainability to life.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Retain and Disposal Clerk reports directly to the Lab Manager and attends to the process of retaining and disposing of materials for Intertek, and its clients.\nThis position is located inside a chemical testing lab facility\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Retain and Disposal Clerk maintains associated records, thus supporting the goal of providing a service to our clients that is accurate, timely and cost effective.\nTransfer and retain samples and other requested materials according to the retain process\nDispose of or prepare for disposal of samples and other requested materials according to the disposal process\nMaintain the supplies necessary to follow the process of retain and disposal\nMaintain all appropriate records associated with retain and disposal of samples and materials\nCourier duties to client sites\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nAbility to lift sample materials up to 40 pounds\nAbility to follow established protocol and safety procedures\nValid Driver's License and reliable driving record \nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nSuccessful completion of at least one semester of college level chemistry and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment is preferred\nExperience in handling chemicals or prior hazmat training is a plus\nForklift driver certification is a plus\nIntertek: Total Quality.
