Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Field Technician role performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.\nHow you’ll make an impact at Intertek:\nPerforms a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.\nOperates testing equipment and conducts testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provides assessment of data through reporting.\nWorks utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.\nUses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.\nMakes detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of results.\nMaintains detailed documentation and data from test results.\nOperates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.\nCommunicates effectively with client and project teams.\nMust be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nNo experience is required - Will Train\nValid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required\nEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required\nExternal (or task related) certifications based on region and state may be required\nBasic math, calculator, and computer skills are required\nThe ability to read and understand work plans is required\nMust be able to work off shift and overtime as needed\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent is preferred\nExperience performing field/laboratory construction materials testing is preferred\nACI/ICC/ARDOT or other relevant industry certifications are preferred\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance\nAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound\nAbility to kneel and squat occasionally\nAbility to walk and stand for long periods of time\nAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures\nAbility to climb occasionally, and work at various heights\nAbility to work over night hours and off shift\nIntertek: Total Quality.
