Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Environmental Project Manager will support the Building and Construction business by overseeing Environmental projects in the Latham, New York Region. This position is expected to travel 25% of the time.\nSalary & Benefits Information\nThe base wage or salary range for this position is $70K - $90K. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\nShift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary)\nWhat you’ll do:\nPlan and implement regulated hazardous building materials surveys for renovation and demolition projects, including asbestos, lead-based paint, PCB-caulk, mold, and other hazardous and universal wastes.\nConduct bulk sampling, homogeneous area assessments, data analysis, quantification, and prepare detailed survey reports and sampling location plans.\nDevelop project-specific asbestos and hazardous materials abatement plans and associated technical specifications in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.\nAbility to prepare technical proposal and reports\nAbility to communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule\nAbility to self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project\nAbility to manage and control project budgets and build solid relationship with clients\nMentor and guide junior environmental staff to strengthen technical capability and team growth.\nSupport Business Development initiatives\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nBS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field\n5+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience \nNYSDOL-Certified Asbestos Building Inspector and Asbestos Project Designer\nStrong technical proposal and report writing abilities\nMust be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization, as well as time and budget management skills\nMust be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one’s discipline\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nValid Driver's License and reliable driving record required\nAbility to travel up to 25% of the time\nPreferred Qualifications:\nLead Inspector and Risk Assessor, NYSDOL Article 32 Mold Assessor, Asbestos Project Monitor, and NYSDOH Radioactive Materials License (XRF).\nPhase I Environmental Site Assessment experience\nIntertek: Total Quality.
