This position may include opportunity to travel on occasion.\nShift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5\nSalary & Benefits Information\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\nWhat you’ll do:\nManagement all assigned jobs (proposals, job progress, job notifications, invoicing, documentation of test data, reporting, job closure)\nLearn test standards and test procedures (e.g., AAMA, ASTM, NFPA, etc.)\nReview and thoroughly understand contract requirements, and obtain authorization for and document any deviations\nCoordinate test schedule with equipment schedule and other department testing\nSet-up/mount and perform standard and advanced/specialty tests on building products in accordance with referenced specifications and procedures\nAnalyze test results and write accurate and concise test reports that summarize the test procedures and results\nCommunicate with clients regarding test preparation, procedures, and results\nWrite test report and assist department admin in invoicing for all assigned projects\nMaintain tools and equipment; inventory supplies; maintain cleanliness of work area\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nGeneral construction/carpentry knowledge and experience using power tools\nMust be technically competent to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications,\n and results and possess a mechanical aptitude\nPhysical ability to routinely lift 50 pounds\nPhysical ability to sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull, etc. as required to perform job duties\nAbility to follow directions and work with minimal supervision\nExcellent customer service skills\nStrong communication skills - both written and oral\nGood computer skills using Word and Excel and technical competence for use of lab equipment and tools\nAbility to travel as business needs dictate, 15% of the time or less\nValid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required. \nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nDegree in a technical field desired, or equivalent related experience\nIntertek: Total Quality.
