Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Project Manager - Construction Material Testing is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.\nSalary & Benefits Information:\nThe base wage or salary range for this position is $40 - $68/hr. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\nWhat you’ll do:\nConduct and attend project meetings and maintain Client relationships, leverage and develop new project opportunities\nReview project setup, prepare advanced proposals for internal and external review and follow up\nComplete contract review and negotiation\nMonitor project budget and initiate change orders\nReview, Prepare and Submit invoices\nReview and sign test reports\nPerform project close out duties\nEnsure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly and keep clients informed of progress\nSupervise and provide support to field and/or laboratory personnel\nTrain field and laboratory personnel on different types of testing and inspection techniques in accordance with ASTM, ACI and other reference standards and test methods\nHelp with equipment issues and/or replacement\nAssist with lab, field and/or administrative duties as needed\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience\n10 years' experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or Project Management experience\nICC/ACI//CalTrans Certification(s)\nValid Driver’s License and reliable driving record\nAble to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications\nEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills\nMust be familiar with the building codes and regulations\nInternal PMCP completion within 6 months of hire\nAbility to lead and supervise others\nMust be able to work off shift and overtime as needed\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited/ABET school\nE.I.T. certification or PE registration\n10+ years' experience in QA/QC\nIntertek: Total Quality.
