Intertek's project-related assurance, testing, inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of your new developments, existing assets and facilities.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe Project Manager is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.\nSalary & Benefits Information:\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\nWhat you’ll do:\nConduct and attend project meetings and maintain Client relationships, leverage and develop new project opportunities\n\nReview project setup, prepare advanced proposals for internal and external review and follow up\n\nComplete contract review and negotiation\n\nMonitor project budget and initiate change orders\n\nReview, Prepare and Submit invoices\n\nReview and sign test reports\n\nPerform project close out duties\n\nEnsure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly and keep clients informed of progress\n\nSupervise and provide support to field and/or laboratory personnel\n\nTrain field and laboratory personnel on different types of testing and inspection techniques in accordance with ASTM, ACI, AASTHO, TxDOT and other reference standards and test methods\n\nHelp with equipment issues and/or replacement\n\nAssist with lab, field and/or administrative duties as needed\n\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\n5 years' combined experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or Project Management experience\n\nP.E. License in the state of Texas\n\nUnderstand Construction Materials Testing Business\n\nValid Driver’s License and reliable driving record\n\nAble to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications\n\nEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills\n\nMust be familiar with the building codes and regulations\n\nPossess ort ability to obtain ACI certification within 6 months of hire (Concrete, Masonry, Aggregate)\n\nInternal PMCP completion within 6 months of hire\n\nAbility to lead and supervise others\n\nMust be able to work off shift and overtime as needed\n\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nTxDOT Certification(s) and project experience is highly desirable\n\nMaterial testing experience on local aviation industry jobs, is an added qualification for the position\n\nIntertek: Total Quality.
