Our Purpose: Bringing quality, safety, and sustainability to life.\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe System Administrator is responsible to oversee, maintain, and plan the future growth of the infrastructure as well as receive, install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain customer devices that are sent in for cybersecurity testing.\nSalary & Benefits Information\nThe base wage or salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\nWhat you’ll do:\nInstall and configure network devices (i.e., switches, routers, firewalls, wireless network devices, virtualization servers, etc.)\nWork with devices from a wide range of vendors\nEngage with vendors when troubleshooting client devices\nMonitor, identify, and resolve network and device issues quickly to minimize downtime\nRecommend, schedule, and perform improvements, upgrades, and repairs\nCommunicate and collaborate with co-workers and management to ensure infrastructure can meet business demands\nProvide routine support for in-house and remote computer systems using Windows 11 and virtualization servers\nMaintain working database or inventory of client and internal devices, IPs, and access control\nWork with internal customers to provide system solutions\nWrite effective technical documentation as assigned\nKeep abreast of current technology\nPerform other duties as required\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nAssociates Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience and training. Bachelors degree preferred\nAt least two years computer network maintenance experience\nKnowledge of Microsoft Server products\nHands-on experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, Red Hat, or CentOS)\nKnowledge of networking topologies and network wiring systems\nHands-on experience with firewalls, VPN, and routers\nExtensive experience utilizing several operating systems\nCertified Network Engineer or other technical certification such as CCNA or MCSE preferred\nExperience with Cisco based equipment a plus\nExperience with VMware a plus\nModel Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right way\n Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work\nAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines\nMust be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management \nAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats\nMust possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties\nMust be customer focused and quality driven\nAbility to travel as business needs dictate\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\nCCNA certification, Network+ certification, familiarity with wireless technology and networks, industry certifications such as Security+, MCSE, Scripting experience\nIntertek: Total Quality.
