by coaching team members on field communications strategies and by drafting/reviewing communication from department to other departments and to the field\nDraft and keep records of various forms of correspondence and communications on behalf of supervisor\nDraft and expedite team-wide communication on behalf of supervisor in preparing communication relevant for team events\nResearch, update, and edit historical documents for print and web communications\nAssist supervisor with the production and distribution of regular electronic communications for internal and external distribution\nDevelop and maintain a funding base and prayer support\nRaise a portion of salary in an amount or percentage agreed upon with Supervisor\nCommunicate regularly with current and potential donors, churches, prayer support team members, friends and family regarding ministry with InterVarsity\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAnnually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith\nCommunication and Relational Skills\nStrong evidence of high Emotional Intelligence competency\nDemonstrated ability to navigate power and relational dynamics in a multi-layered organization\nDemonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment\nPossess excellent social, verbal and written skills\nOrganizational and Project Management Skills\nDemonstrated exceptional organizational skills; detail oriented\nProject management skills, including the ability to monitor and coordinate a wide variety of reports\nAbility to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner\nDemonstrated commitment to dependability and maintaining a consistent presence in the office\nAdaptable and able to change priorities as work demands\nAbility to organize events, workflow, and the details involved and work under pressure of deadlines\nExhibits learning agility and is open to learning new concepts, skills, and methods\nAbility to set priorities, make decisions, meet deadlines, and resolve complex problems independently\nTakes initiative and works independently with limited direct supervision\nGood analytical skills\nDemonstrated commitment to dependability and maintaining a consistent presence in the office\nDemonstrated ability to support the success of a senior leader and/or ministry/department\nA working knowledge of web communications strategies\nPrior experience with InterVarsity or other campus ministry is highly desirable\nA working knowledge of current Microsoft software applications (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)\nTraveling as needed for planning meetings or ministry events\nOne year of experience with communications responsibilities (internal or external) required; two or more years strongly desired\nMinimum of two years of experience with significant administrative/operational responsibilities.\nSalary Range: $55,000 - $60,000\nPay Range: $50,772.00 - $67,680.00 per yearBenefits:\nWe offer a competitive benefits package, including health care and retirement savings with a match.
