{"id":3518460,"url":"https://alion.io/job/intex-construction-site-accountant","title":"Site Accountant","company":{"id":4489598,"name":"Intex Construction","domain":null,"url":"https://alion.io/company/intex-construction","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":null,"truth_index":null},"role":"Finance","role_family":"Finance","seniority":null,"employment_type":"contractor","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Kenya"],"countries":["KE"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"closed","first_seen_at":"2026-09-02T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-11-01T00:00:21Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":"2026-11-01T00:00:21Z","days_open":60,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":60},"description":"JOB VACANCY NO INTEX/SA-Finance/PM31082026/001\n\nREPORTING LINE Site Agent/Senior Accountant\n\nTERMS OF CONTRACT Fixed Term Contract\n\nSUMMARY OF POSITION\n\nAs a Site Accountant, you will primarily manage day-to-day project budgets, control petty cash, process local vendor invoices, and prepare routine cost reports to ensure operations stay on track.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nMonitor and maintain employees attendance records.\nMaintain employee leave records and update them regularly.\nPrepare and process overtime requisitions for approval.\nPrepare monthly payroll & wages for permanent employees and casual labour.\nUpdate employee records for all new hires, transfers, resignations, and terminations.\nIssue HR-related correspondence approved by management, including employment, confirmation, warning, show cause, termination, and other staff letters.\nAddress staff queries and escalate issues to the Project Manager where necessary.\nManage site petty cash, ensuring all payments are supported by approved vouchers and receipts, and perform regular reconciliations.\nMaintain accurate records of site expenditures and ensure proper filing of all financial documents.\nConduct periodic stock takes and maintain inventory records.\nMaintain the fixed asset register and monitor the movement of company assets.\nLiaise with statutory bodies and other third parties, including NSSF, SHA, NITA, HELB, and other relevant authorities, to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.\nEnsure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nSupport internal audit exercises by providing the required documentation and information.\nAdhere to operator code of practice and present yourself in neat and professional appearance;\nAdhere to all Environmental Health & Safety procedures, policies and instructions;\nKeep accurate financial records\nPerform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.\n\nKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS\n\nMeasure local financial accuracy, budget control, operational efficiency, and inventory management.\nMonitoring cash flow, ensuring timely reporting, and keeping road construction, expenses strictly within financial limits;
