The position is in Riga, Latvia, with remote work possibilities.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, views and complex queries (T-SQL) for our Order Management System and Data Warehouse\nOwn database architecture and design on your projects; define and enforce data-integrity standards\nBuild and maintain ETL: T-SQL on SQL Server today, Python/PySpark on our Spark + Iceberg lakehouse orchestrated by Airflow\nIntegrate 3rd-party data sources (Google Analytics / BigQuery, Jira, Workday, Elasticsearch, MySQL systems)\nBuild reports and dashboards in Apache Superset (some Power BI)\nAutomate database maintenance and monitoring\nWork AI-first: the whole team uses Claude Code for development, reviews and documentation, and so will you\nSkills & Requirements:3+ years with Microsoft SQL Server 2017–2022\nStrong T-SQL: procedures, functions, triggers, views, complex queries\nProven query/process optimization and database maintenance skills\nData Warehouse concepts (dimensional modelling, incremental loads)\nWorking knowledge of MySQL\nGit-based workflow\nStrong written and spoken English, problem-solving, ownership\nWillingness to use AI coding assistants daily as a core part of the job\nQualification:Python for data engineering (pandas, PySpark) is considered a plus\nLakehouse stack: Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Apache Airflow is considered a plus\nApache Superset or Power BI is considered a plus\nAWS (S3, EKS/Kubernetes), Apache Ranger or similar access-control tools are considered a plus\nSSIS / SSRS / SSAS / SSDT are considered a plus\nHands-on AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) is considered a plus\nC# is considered a plus\nComputer Science or IT degree is
