We are looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer with strong commercial experience in Yocto and C++.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at both application and platform level, including Embedded Linux customization, system integration, debugging and software development.

We value engineers who can independently analyze complex technical issues, propose solutions and work across multiple layers of the embedded software stack.

Experience with MQTT-based communication and connected devices is highly desirable, but practical Yocto and Embedded Linux expertise is currently the most important area of interest.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Linux / Yocto Engineer who can take ownership of complex platform-level topics in commercial embedded products.

You should have strong practical experience with Yocto, Embedded Linux and C++, including system integration, debugging and software development. We value engineers who are comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and solving problems that span application, operating system and hardware layers.

Experience with MQTT, connected devices and IoT communication is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for Embedded Linux platforms

• Build, customize and maintain Linux distributions using Yocto / BitBake

• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across application, operating system and hardware layers

• Contribute to system integration, software deployment and platform customization

• Design, develop and maintain software components in C++

• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions

• Analyze technical requirements and propose effective solutions

• Collaborate with hardware and cross-functional engineering teams

• Take ownership of technical topics and drive them independently

• Support continuous improvement of software quality, reliability and maintainability

Must-Have

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Embedded Linux development

• Experience building and customizing Embedded Linux distributions using Yocto

• Strong commercial experience with C++

• Experience debugging and resolving complex system-level issues

• Ability to work across software, operating system and hardware layers

• Good English communication skills

Strong Advantage

• Commercial experience with MQTT

• Experience with OTA / Firmware Update solutions

• Knowledge of Secure Boot and device security concepts

• Experience with Device Tree

• Experience with Kernel configuration and/or BSP customization

• Experience with ARM-based platforms

Nice to Have

• Python scripting and automation

• Experience with Connected Devices, IoT products, Smart Appliances, or Consumer Electronics

• Understanding of software architecture and design principles
