The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Wire, ACH, and RTP payment systems, along with expertise in REST APIs, microservices, backend processing, and event-driven architectures. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting highly scalable and reliable payment applications that process critical financial transactions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable payment processing applications supporting Wire, ACH, and RTP transactions.\n\n- Develop robust backend services using REST APIs and microservices architecture.\n\n- Build distributed systems capable of handling high-volume, concurrent, and mission-critical payment transactions.\n\n- Design applications with strong focus on concurrency, thread safety, fault tolerance, scalability, and reliability.\n\n- Develop backend processing components for transaction validation, routing, processing, status management, and exception handling.\n\n- Implement secure and reliable integrations with internal and external payment systems.\n\n- Work with API Connect (APIC) for API management, integration, routing, security, and enterprise connectivity.\n\n- Develop and integrate event-driven services using messaging or event-streaming technologies.\n\n- Design loosely coupled, asynchronous components to support scalable payment processing workflows.\n\n- Develop frontend components and user interfaces using Angular, React, or Vue.js where required.\n\n- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads using Kubernetes.\n\n- Participate in application design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.\n\n- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues.\n\n- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.\n\n- Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and engineering best practices.\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n- 6+ years of professional software development experience.\n\n- Strong experience in payment systems, preferably Wire, ACH, and RTP.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience developing REST APIs and microservices.\n\n- Strong understanding of distributed systems and high-volume transaction processing.\n\n- Proven experience with concurrency and thread-safe application design.\n\n- Experience with API Connect (APIC) or similar enterprise API management platforms.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n- Experience developing or supporting event-driven architectures.\n\n- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework: Angular, React, or Vue.js.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\nSkills\nPayment Processing, RESTful, Distributed Systems, Kafka, Multithreading, Payment Gateway, Payment System, REST API, Microservices Architecture","description_format":"text","description_chars":3128,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Custom Software Development","IT Staffing & Staff Augmentation","IT Training & Certification"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T14:00:00Z"}],"liveness":{"score":70,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.775,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":11,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["seen:11","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/intraedge-senior-software-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/intraedge-senior-software-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T05:10:55Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4870,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":130,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
