We are looking for an engineer with a background in data engineering and experience working in a data engineering team for 5+ years.\nResponsibilities\nUnderstand functional requirements, develop technical designs and specifications, code and test.\nYou will be required to size work of medium to large complexity and manage timelines and deliveries.\nDesigning/developing software using data engineering technologies.\nYou will be spending 90% hands-on designing, coding, testing and supporting production systems (on-call).\nResolve defects/bugs during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.\nWork cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, other engineering teams and business units to drive forward results.\nExperience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.\nQualifications\n5+ years’ experience developing data engineering pipeline using technologies like Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, DataBricks, AWS, Elastic Search, Kafka.\n\n5+ year’s experience working on BigData technologies.\n\nBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.\n\nStrong experience with Python and Spark and ability to understand a large existing codebase.\n\nExperience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\n\nGood experience building and supporting large scale enterprise data engineering pipelines and featurization.\n\nYou should have a passion for Engineering and Operational Excellence.\n\nYou will support what your team builds in production via quarterly on-call rotations to monitor production systems and resolve production errors & incidents.\n\nSolid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nStrong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.\n\nExperience with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)\n\nExperience with AI coding tools Claude/Cursor\n\nIntuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.
