Learn more about our Intern and Co-op Program here.\nAs a Software Engineering Intern on Intuit's Cybersecurity (CTREC) team, you'll help build the platforms, tools, and services that protect our customers' financial data across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. Depending on your team placement, you'll work on areas like identity and authentication, data protection, fraud and abuse prevention, secure development tooling, or threat operations - writing production code alongside experienced engineers and using AI tools to move faster and think bigger. No prior security domain experience is required; we'll build that alongside you. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with peers and mentors, gain hands-on experience applying best practices in software development, and build the skills to launch a rewarding career in tech.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, and test features across front-end, back-end, or full-stack systems that support Intuit's cybersecurity mission.\nWrite clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to help the team hold a high bar.\nUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate your own workflow, and share what you learn with the team.\nDebug and resolve defects, learning to trace issues across the stack.\nPartner with engineers, security specialists, and product managers to turn requirements into working software.\nSupport the deployment and ongoing maintenance of features you help ship.\nQualifications\nCurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program (associate’s, bachelor's, master's, MBA, PhD, or the equivalent) with an expected graduation date after the internship ends\nFamiliarity with AI tools and a curiosity about how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship\nAbility to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by your team and role (Relocation stipend will be provided)\nComfort with Git-based workflows and code review.\nExposure to front-end frameworks (e.g., React) and/or cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is a plus, depending on team placement.\nSecurity domain knowledge is a plus but not required - we'll build that as part of the internship.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle\nA 'self-starter' attitude with the ability to take initiative and make independent decisions.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a history of successfully delivering on assigned tasks.\nDesire to learn and grow within a technical environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nIntuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.
